There are alot of situations in our lives on a daily basis that effect the way we make food choices - which can infact lead to negative eating habits. Here are some tips to help you move past your bad eating habits

  • don't eat while you are actively doing something else. For example watching TV or reading. Eat your food only when you are sitting at the table, not when your in the fridge or simply standing around.
  • when you are eating your meals, chew sowly - this will allow your stomach to think its full. Eat smaller portions of food, and when your full stop eating. Don't stuff your spoon or fork with too much food.
  • avoid purchasing high calorie foods. Always make yourself a shopping list prior to shopping so you don't deviate from it and make compulsive food choices you don't need (which is usually the high calorie food like biscuits, chocolates, etc)
